This video contains the same content as the 1st video. In this video I have played the minor scales better than in the previous video. I will continue to practice these scales so I can play them well during the assessment.
This is my first attempt on playing the natural, harmonic and melodic D minor scale at home. My fingering is still not good, but I know the scales already. I will practice more of it.
During the theory session, we wrote the MDW for this term's summary of reflections. Then, we practiced the natural, harmonic and melodic minor scales for the assessment.
I did more than half of the MDW reflections. But I didn't do the minor scales pretty well because I'm not used to them.
I will continue filling in the rest of the MDW, as well as practice the minor scales and my composition at home.
In this video, I played my composition in a similar way with the 5th video. I also made very few mistakes in this video, and I have succeed in using the pedal. I will practice my composition more so that I will be ready for the upcoming practical assessment.
In this video, I played my composition well. I did push the pedal of the piano, and I succeed in harmonizing the song with the pedal. I will maintain this state so that I can improve more if I made a few mistakes in the video.
We learned about the three types of minor scales today during the theory session. Then, we practiced our own compositions in front of the class in the instrument session.
I understood all of the explanation about the minor scales. I performed my composition well, but I still have the chance to improve.
I will exercise doing the three types of minor scales, also practice my composition harder at home.
In the theory session, we learned about the minor harmonic chords and composed an 8 - bar of minor chords. Then, all of us practiced our own compositions during the instrument session.
I composed the 8 - bar composition but I haven't tried it. And I have memorized my 32 - bar composition, but I still need to improve.
I will learn more about minor scales and chords, as well as practice my composition more, so I can play it better.
This is my second attempt to play my composition with the piano pedal. I became more used to it so I made less mistakes than in my first video. I will continue to practice harder so I can play it fluently.
In this video I have tried to use the pedal while playing my composition, but in the end I made a few mistakes towards the end of the composition because I also need to concentrate on pushing the pedal.
During theory class, we learned about chord progressions and composed an 8 - bar song consisting of C-G-Am-F chords. Then, at instrument class we practiced our own composition in front of the class.
I did well while composing the song, since the chord progressions are easy to develop. But I didn't do well in performing in front of the class since I didn't practice at home.
I will practice the chord progressions and my composition at home, especially for the articulation.
This is my second time playing my edited composition. I did slightly better in this video than in the first one because I have tried to avoid stopping briefly and avoid repeating the same mistake from the first video. I will continue to fix my playing and try to use the pedal next time.
This video contains the final version of my AA'BA' composition. Since this is my first time playing it, I haven't used the pedal yet, and I still made a mistake almost at the end of the song and some brief stops while playing. I will fix the mistakes that I made in this video and continue to practice.
We did the reflection for our singing assessment and discuss on how to use the Finale software for our composition in the theory period. During the instrument class we practiced our composition.
I listened to the explanation, although I know how to use the Finale already. And I did my Finale draft, so I did OK.
I will fix my Finale notation by changing the chords and practice it later.
This is my second video on my composition. I have developed the left hand notes and I have played it slightly better than my first video. I will practice more and harder so that I can play my composition smoothly and with no mistakes.
In this video, I have developed my left hand notations so it is not that simple anymore. I made a few mistakes while playing because I am not really used to playing the song yet. I will practice playing it more so that I won't make many mistakes.
Today we did the singing assessment of Indonesia Pusaka and wrote the final draft of the 32 bars composition. And during the instrument class we learned on how to use Finale and try to add the left hand notes.
I did well on the first two tasks, and I did my composition in the Finale successfully.
I will work on the lyrics and the left hand of my composition at home.
Reflection:
This video contains the same content as the first one. In this video I didn't stop in the middle of the song that often like in the first video but I made a single mistake towards the end of the song. But I just need to get used to the chords so I can develop the left hand notes later on, so it won't really matter that much.
Reflection:
I played my composition with only the chords that Mr. Herry gave me, so it was pretty simple. In this video I made no mistakes but I often stopped in the middle of the song for a while so I can place my fingers on the correct notes. I will try to reduce the amount of stopping during the song.
During today's theory music class we did a review on different types of music. Then, some of our classmates redid their music notation quiz. Me and my other friends worked on our MDWs.
I got a perfect mark on the quiz, so I did my MDW instead but it's not yet finished.
I will complete my MDW today and submit it tomorrow.
